Abstract
The Contracts (Amendment) Act 1976 [Act A329] (“the Amending Act”) governs scholarship contracts and is closely related to universities and higher education institutions. Despite being concise, it provides specific legal provisions for scholarship agreements. The Act came into force on 27 February 1976 as an amendment to the Contracts Act 1976 [Act 136]. Although it is technically an amending act, it appears separately as an appendix to its parent law without clear justification. Awareness of this Act among relevant stakeholders remains limited.
