Innovation competitions: growing creative minds from primary school to university.
Bulletin.
Universiti Teknologi MARA, Negeri Sembilan.
Abstract
Innovation competitions are no longer limited to sports but have become powerful platforms for nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and leadership among students from primary to university level. Unlike traditional classroom learning, these competitions allow participants to explore ideas, build real-world solutions such as robots and mobile apps, and develop confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills. Starting young helps students see themselves as creators rather than just consumers of technology, while exposure to areas like robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) encourages critical thinking and can shape future academic and career paths.
