GSI User Board Meeting @ Wisma FMM

GSl is famous for being the non-profit organisation that invented the use of bar codes and for its push for harmonisation of trade facilitation policies and practices around the world. Its Use Board is a combination of two bodies, one is from the Pharmaceutical Working Group, and the other one is from the Supply Chain Excellence Working Group. Prof. Dr. Irwin Ooi has been a part of the latter Working Group for almost a decade. On 5 February, the joint body met to discuss various issues relating to supply chains that Malaysian companies have to work with. The group also provides a platform for sharing of information, expertise and best practices among members of the industry. Prof. Dr. Ooi's role in the group is to provide legal advice and updates in supply chain, international trade, trade facilitation and logistics matters.
