AAGBS innovation "ESMART Ring-i" earns bronze at InnoFest 2024

AAGBS student won bronze with their innovation entitled 'ESMART Ring-i' at the International Innovation Festival 2024 Politeknik Sandakan Sabah, held on 29-30 April 2024. The InnoFest 2024 was organized by Politeknik Negeri Samarinda, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Politeknik Malaysia Sandakan, & Persatuan Kedoktoran Teknikal Malaysia. The innovation of ESMART Ring-i aims to mitigate issues encountered during emergencies when conventional transactional methods are unreachable. Safety and security features are vital in developing device that related to money transaction to prevent pickpocket, hackers, scammers and any unfortune events. Besides, it designed such way to facilitate customer to perform payment transaction. The target consumers just attach it at their fingers and the payment can be made once its function is automatically activated by using bio-metric thumb print verification scan. Besides, it only can be functioned once the sensor detect the finger-palms attachment with the ring, blood flow and temperature to prevent thief or series killer that kill person for digital money transaction tools. The sensor also will alarm itself few minutes (self-time setting) if the owner takes off the ring temporary for wuduk. Additionally, the anti-virus is added for ESRing X and ESRing Premium because these variants involve digital and hologram electronic which need digital shield security from unwanted intruders.
