Abstract
In this academic project research, key factors affecting local involvement in the adaptive reuse approach of heritage buildings have been investigated. Local communities might not have a comprehensive understanding of their involvement in the adaptive reuse approach of heritage buildings in their area. Local communities may only know vaguely the way they perceive the heritage buildings. Therefore, this research is conducted to investigate factors affecting local involvement in the adaptive reuse approach of heritage buildings in Ipoh, Perak. The objectives of this research are to identify key factors affecting local involvement in the adaptive reuse approach of heritage buildings. Five (5) key factors have been identified from the literature search.
