FSG's iCOURSE4U won awards at "Pertandingan Idea Unggul @ UiTM 2020"

“Pertandingan Idea Unggul @ UiTM 2020” was held on 5th of November 2020, with the theme “Kebiasaan Baharu, Jaminan Kelestarian UiTM”. It was the first time it was held in conjunction with the Covid-19 pandemic, replacing the KIK Innovative and Creative Group Competition. Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM Shah Alam was represented by EPSILON group with a project entitled “iCOURSE4U”. EPSILON made it into the finals with 30 other groups. EPSILON won the Most Creative Idea Award and a Silver Medal Award. The idea was also presented at the International Conference University Administrators and won Best Poster and Gold Medal awards. iCOURSE4U was introduced to benefit and improve the skills and knowledge of laboratory staff in instrument handling. It is a project that features modular and continuous online course training. It is a long term project and has the potential to improve governance as well as the quality of teaching and learning at the Faculty of Applied Sciences in particular and UiTM in general. The management of the Faculty of Applied Sciences gives full support to the development of iCOURSE4U. The cooperation from all parties, especially the staff involved has contributed to the project’s success and it will be able to be used widely throughout the UiTM system. The invention of iCOURSE4U is timely in facing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is hoped that it can continuously improve the skills and knowledge of laboratory staff to produce high quality service to the faculty and students.
