Media appearances of FSG staff during COVID-19 pandemic

FSG through its Corporate Communications Unit has provided a platform aimed at popularizing science, thus, bridging the gap between academia and the community through the involvement of academic, and administrative staff in the mass media particularly through electronic media. Many opportunities have been provided as a result of collaboration with the local media. This can be seen through the publication of scholarly articles that address current issues in the local newspapers such as New Straits Times and Berita Harian. FSG staff had also shared their expertise through broadcast media such as Bernama and TV1 to help educate the community in embracing the new norms during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, a total of 24 articles were published in the mass media and a total of 27 staff were invited as panels to discuss issues related to the pandemic.
