Ts. Dr. Aida Firdaus Muhammad Nurul Azmi as a recipient for Leadership in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) 2020, London, UK

Ts. Dr. Aida Firdaus Muhammad Nurul Azmi was among 14 recipients from Malaysia who were selected for the Leadership in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) 2020. The LIF programme is organized by the Royal Academy of Engineering and funded by the Newton Fund/UK Government’s Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. It brings 17 recipients from Newton Fund partner countries to undergo an intensive training course on innovation in London, UK. Dr. Aida was nominated for the programme based on her functional food products specifically on Biodegradable Energy Chewing Gum, which is currently in the prototype stage. The chewing gum is biodegradable, sugar-free, caffeine-free and also liquid-free. This incorporates natural active ingredients that substitute caffeine, which is normally used as the source of energy. She attended the course in London, UK from 16th to 28th February 2020.
