U-Subsidi: web-based claim services system for Skim Baja Padi Kerajaan Persekutuan

Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK) is an organization trusted by the government to distribute fertilizer to registered farmers. In PPK Pasir Panjang, Pusat Belian Padi (PBP) at Tali Air Sembilan was appointed to distribute fertilizer to farmers in Sekinchan area. PBP’s clerk occasionally having problem in manage claiming the incentive in current system. U-Subsidi aimed to create a system that would help clerk in PBP throughout process of claiming fertilizer. This system is developed to enable clerk of PPK to handle the claiming process by keying farmer's identification card number to read farmer’s information and farmer’s fertilizer information with the updated inventory of the fertilizer given by government. Traditional Waterfall is the lifecycle used as the foundation to construct the application. The methodology used in U-Subsidi was separated the project into three phases; Requirement and Analysis phase, Design phase and Implementation phase. The requirement for this project was gathered based on an interview with stakeholder from PBP’s clerk. Event Decomposition and CRUD technique were documented in Software Requirement Specification. In design phase, the user interfaces and database are designed. While for implementation phase, the system was developed using Java language and SQL Developer. All phases, activities and deliverables used must be in an organized manner in order to achieve objectives of the project. For the future work of this study, the system shall expand its application to claiming other resources with registration for farmers in PPK sides.
