Facilities, space and infrastructures development

The FSG and IPSIS UiTM Research Laboratory Development Project was successfully completed on 2 October 2020. The RM21.4 million project was an effort by the faculty to replace a previous laboratory building which was destroyed in a fire in 2013. The new laboratories are located in Bangunan Sarjana and will be divided for use between FSG and IPSIS or Institute of Graduate Studies. The FSG research laboratories will be able to fulfill the students and staff research needs. The laboratory can accommodate up to 15 people per laboratory and is equipped with WIFI, air conditioning and a centralized sound system. In addition, it is also equipped with emergency aid equipment such as emergency shower, fire extinguisher, and fire alarm as well as a fume hood system that uses the latest technology. There is also a store on each level equipped with a chemical storage cabinet and exhaust fan system. Rooms are also available for discussions, seminars and meetings. Student discussion rooms are located on levels 1, 2 and 3 with a capacity of up to 12 people per room.
