Abstract

Hallasan is a volcanic mountain located in Jeju Island, which is a volcanic island in South Korea. F It is the highest mountain in South Korea, with a peak that reaches 1,950 meters (6,398 feet) above sea level. Hallasan is a popular destination for hiking and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. There are seven hiking trails available around Hallasan mountain. However, only two trails could reach the summit of Hallasan, which are Songpanak and Gwaneumsa trail. Both trails are 9.6 km and 8.7 km respectively, which need approximately 4-5 hours to reach the summit. Eoseungsaengak is one of the shortest trails on Hallasan. This easy hike takes just thirty minutes to hike to the top, starting at the Hallasan National Park Visitor Centre. The Eoseungsaengak Trail starts at the Eorimok entrance, which is one of the main entrances to the Hallasan National Park and leads up to its peak.
