Another recent international grant recipient is Dr. Zakiah Mohamed who received the prestigious Newton Fund worth RM357,182.00 from the Department of Higher Education, Malaysia and the Science and Technology Facilities Council, UK for a research on evolution of crystal and magnetic structures in materials. Through such funding, her research team will gain access to international facilities at ISIS Neutron and Muon Source in the UK for studying materials at the atomic level. Neutron data can give a very accurate value of the position of the atoms in the crystal structure.
