Opening ceremony of Minggu Destini Siswa

Minggu Destini Siswa is an orientation week to welcome the new intake of undergraduates to the campus. The opening ceremony was held on 27th Majlis Perasmian Minggu Destini Siswa November, 2014. Throughout the week, the undergraduates were briefed on the functions of different departments such as the Department of Student Affairs and the Department of Academic Affairs in the university. This allowed them to get a better idea on how the university works and enabled them to look for the right source when they faced difficulties. In addition, participating in the hostel activities further familiarised them with the new study environment while they got to know more friends. Some activities like the Talent Night (Persembahan Malam Bakat) also showcased the students’ innate talents. It gave them the opportunity to learn teamwork. As such, various soft skills were cultivated at this beginning stage of tertiary education.
