Abstract

Allnex Malaysia is a notable subsidiary of Allnex Global, a key player in the coating resins and additives industry. Since 2013, they have grown significantly through the years and are also known as companies that emphasize their sustainability and global expansion. They have also been expanding globally, currently operating over 30 locations, including 33 manufacturing facilities and 23 research and technology support centers around the world. Besides, Allnex's success was rooted in its extensive product on a global network of manufacturing facilities that ensured the supply reliability and a deep understanding of local regulations. Allnex Malaysia provided an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional environment closely related to my field of study. I feel truly honored and grateful to have been a part of this journey. During my internship, I had the privilege of working alongside many remarkable individuals and experts in the field. It was a meaningful experience to contribute to a globally recognized organization known for its innovation and commitment to sustainability. A comprehensive overview of my 24-week internship journey as a finance intern at Allnex Malaysia’s Seremban office has been recorded in this report. During the internship, I was entrusted with a wide range of practical responsibilities and had hands-on exposure to corporate financial operations, budgeting, and compliance. A SWOT analysis will be presented, which is based on my perspective and research on Allnex’s operations, highlighting strategic insights related to energy usage, supply chain volatility, and market opportunities, for instance, manifest in green investments and a sustainable product demand. Hence, recommendations are proposed based on the identified SWOT to improve operational efficiency and company financial performance. Here, it has not only enhanced my technical knowledge but also deepened my understanding of sustainability in global manufacturing and how real- life working experiences work.
