FSG outbound mobility programme universitas Indonesia, Indonesia

Two FSG students from Applied Chemistry Programme (AS245) are currently in Indonesia for their industrial attachment. Nadia Athirah Binti Yunus and Saffa Izzati Binti Kaderi are attached to Department of Chemical. Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, INDONESIA since 31$t Jan 2019. They were introduced to research topics related to their research work which also involved collecting raw materials for the study in mud propolis. The materials were collected in Tangerang, about 2 hours away from the university. Both students were given separate projects to work on. Nadia's project is on Purification of Coumabiroin and Propolis Stingless Bee (Tetragonula biroi) as an Active Substance for Uric Acid Medicine Using Centrifugal Partition Chromatography while Saffa Izzati is working on Scale Up Production Simulation and Economic Evaluation of Encapsulated Propolis with Arabic Gum and Maltodextrin Using Spray Drying Method. Laboratory works were conducted at Integrated Learning Research Centre (ILRC), Universitas Indonesia.
