Myinovasi2014, ROD qualified for the final round

Reproduce Oil Device (ROD) group, one of the ten groups from UiTM Sarawak received RM5000 when they won the Myinovasi2014, Zon Sarawak competition and advanced to the final stage. This competition was participated by 1500 participants from all over Sarawak. Winners who qualified for the final round on 15th December 2014 in Putrajaya had a chance to win a total of RM363,000 worth of prizes with a grand prize of RM50,000. This programme, which was introduced in 2012 and known as Program Pertandingan Memasyarakatkan Inovasi Pelajar IPT, was organised by Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia (KPM) in collaboration with Perbadanan Putrajaya and Institut Sultan Iskandar (ISI). The ten groups from UiTM Sarawak, who participated in the competition, were selected from the Young Invention, Innovation and Design (YIIDEX2014) Exhibition and Competition that was held at UiTM Sarawak Campus. There were also participations of other products from other institutions. To participate in the competition, all ten groups had to go through a screening process and were evaluated by professional judges before they qualified to go to the next stage. They also had to send in the abstracts and posters of their products.
