Research of the drugs for diabetes mellitus in Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban (HTJS)

We are doing research to complete our last semester in Diploma in Pharmacy during our practical training. Our topic is THE STUDY OF DIABETES MELLITUS DRUGS IN HOSPITAL TUANKU JAAFAR. We are focusing on type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and the drugs that available in HTJS and how to use NOVOPEN, one of the treatments of DM.
Some prescriptions have been randomly selected from out-patient pharmacy in this hospital to collect them as data. Then, each of prescription are identified as an antidiabetic drug such as metformin and insulin injection. From what we can get, there are a lot of drugs that have been prescribed to the patients by the doctors.
As time pass by, there are a lot of antidiabetic agent. Patient are also compliant on how to treat this disease. So, we also include the way on how to use NOVOPEN.
From the data, we can see that metformin is mostly prescribed as an oral antidiabetic drug while insulated injection is the less. We also include the ways to manage diabetes and how to diagnose it. Last but not least, "PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE"
