Pilot study: assessment on understanding of the inhaler technique and compliance level among patient at Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat, Johor

As a trainer of Diploma of Pharmacy, we have been done our research about the assessment on understanding of the inhaler technique and compliance level among patient at Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat, Johor. This research was conducted to evaluate the technique and level of compliance to inhaler, among patient in Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat, Johor and our research subject was the visitors who come to the out-patient pharmacy department of Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat on August. Questionnaires were randomly distributed to the patient. Result were analysed with SPSS and Microsoft Excel; and present in the graph form. From the 110 filled questionnaires, 68 % of the respondent shows that they have poor compliancy regarding knowledge of inhaler technique. This result will help to alert the pharmacist and health provider to find ways on how to increase the technique and level of compliance on inhaler among patient Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat, Johor
