Abstract
Greetings from the Faculty of Medicine. On behalf of the faculty, it is a pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all readers of this special Ramadhan-Raya edition of faculty newsletter. This year’s observance of Ramadhan and Syawal has been markedly shaped by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which continues to influence how communities gather, celebrate, and uphold long-standing traditions. Despite these challenges, the essence of both months reflection, compassion, gratitude, and togetherness remains deeply meaningful. While health precautions necessitate adjustments to familiar practices, the spirit of Ramadhan and Syawal can continue to be honoured through safe, thoughtful, and creative expressions. As with many aspects of life during this period, embracing the new normal with resilience and adaptability enables us to preserve what is most significant during these sacred and festive occasions.
