Our unfeigned sahabat, Rosbi Ishak

In this edition I would like to write about my dear sahabat, Rosbi Ishak. During the past fifteen years, Rosbi Ishak, who is affectionately referred to as Bee, has been a close friend of mine. Since we first became friends in 2009, our friendship has amply demonstrated the value of candour, kindness, and real connection. Rosbi is someone who does not pretend to be someone else; she is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve and makes it a point to always be sincere in her relationships with other people. Without limit, Rosbi's generosity and kindness are boundless. I can always count on her to provide information that is clear and rational, without any pretence or beating around the bush. One of the things that makes Rosbi a genuinely remarkable friend is the fact that she is always honest and kind, in addition to being serious when it is necessary. Rosbi, born and raised in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, has built a distinguished 22-year career as a Senior Lecturer at UiTM, underpinned by a Diploma in Business Studies from Institut Teknologi MARA, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Honours) in Accounting & Finance from De Montfort University (UK), and an MBA in Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia. Over the years, she has taught across diverse accounting subjects—Financial Accounting & Reporting, Cost Accounting, Financial Markets, and Public Sector Accounting—and has contributed beyond teaching by serving in key administrative roles such as Practical Training Coordinator, Timetable Committee Member, and Internal Auditor, a testament to her dedication, hard work, and professional excellence.
