From campus to corporation: my big 4 adventures

A few weeks ago, I just completed my internship journey at one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Kuala Lumpur. This might sound cliché but it has been my dream since I started my study for a Diploma a few years ago which is to have once-in-a-lifetime experience to work in the Big 4. Six months of internship provided valuable learning for me to prepare myself to be in the real working world. During my internship, I was assigned to Taxation Service Line, under the International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) Sub-service Line. In this sub-service line, we provide many types of services such as Tax Due Diligence, Advisory, Real Property Companies, and others. After I joined EY, I realized that taxation is not only tax computation, however, it is more than that. There's a lot of new knowledge that I gained during my internship as I have been looped into various types of engagements.
