Abstract
The awareness of supplement intake nowadays bloomed among Malaysians. This trend among Malaysians commonly influenced by the rumors and advertisement by some authority, licensed and non-licensed company. These supplement consist of two types, traditional supplements that are mainly made of herbs and modem supplements that are mainly essential vitamins and compressed into tablets or capsules and are more edible than traditional supplements. There is no doubt that supplement intake among Malaysians is a good news but some excessively or in another word ‘obsessed’ with supplements. Some consume supplement for health related issue but some consume supplement for beauty. Still, some supplements need prescription from doctors as they may produce side effect to the consumer. Consumers also encouraged to take plenty of water as the excessively intake supplement may affect their kidney that may cause the formation of kidney stone. Hence this project conducted to investigate the knowledge and perception of supplement intake among residents and their factors.
