Abstract
Slide presentation for "The absolute and the restricted, and their meanings"
The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic, so there are rules that interpreters need to understand the Qur'an, focusing on the rules of the language, understanding its basics, comprehending its style, and mastering its secrets. All of this has been addressed in great detail through comprehensive studies that have branched out into various branches of Arabic language sciences (Murni, 2019). An absolute term refers to a term that comes without any specific connection, attribute, or condition, while a restricted term is a term that comes with a limit or attribute that restricts its meaning. A clear understanding of these two concepts is very important, especially when there are two different pieces of evidence, one absolute and the other restricted, on the same issue.
