Abstract
A partition is a screen that is used to separate a single space into a few smaller spaces. It is an alternative for walls. At the Faculty of Art and Design, partitions are a very important basic need. It is frequently being used during students’ assessments, make-shift exhibitions, idea presentations, teaching and learning process and also being used for various other programs. The uses of partitions are mainly for exhibiting posters, papers, memos and informative notices as well as make-shift backdrop for events and occasions. However, the main problem faced at the faculty is the issue of storage. This is because the existing partitions are quite difficult to store the partitions safely and properly. Therefore, this problem had sparked a creative idea to create a more flexible and compact form of partition as a problem-solving mechanism. The partition is called “3M Partition”. It is mobile, manageable and easy to put away. The partition can not only be used at the faculty, it can also be easily transported to be used in any events such as Academic Missions, Professional Talks as well as students’ functions. Commercial-wise, it can satisfy the needs of the market because it is an important item for programs that are suitable for the creative industry as well as the government, private and corporate sectors alike. A more flexible and compact form of partition as a problem-solving mechanism. Easy to handle
