Abstract

Slide presentation for "Wasiyyah"

Wasiat, in Islamic law, is a will that allows a Muslim to specify how up to one-third of their estate is distributed after death, beyond the fixed shares set by Shariah inheritance rules (Faraid). It enables the testator to provide for non-heirs or charitable causes, while the remaining estate is divided according to Islamic law. Making a wasiat is strongly encouraged in Islam as it fulfills religious duties, ensures fair distribution of wealth, and helps prevent family disputes, making it an essential part of responsible estate planning.
