The Penang Public Library Corporation has introduced an innovation, a special form of printed material (Braille) combined with a book (text) to be introduced to the special needs (Category of Blind) which enables everyone to read where there is no discrimination among the normal classes and special needs (Category of Blind). Specialized Printed Materials (Braille) combined with books (text) can attract and create opportunities for special needs (Category of Blind) to ensure that they are not left behind in getting information in the ever-changing technology era. In order to ensure that there is no discrimination between the normal and the special needs (Category of Blind), books produced by the Penang Public Library Corporation are suitable for all users, namely in Malay and English, but the most unique aspect is when there is also books in Chinese language as well as Tamil language that are translated into Braille format to ensure that there is no discrimination and can attract multiracial people to bring their family members who are the special needs (Category of Blind) to read together. Thus, this creates a society or a nation of people who love reading and this may lead to establishing close family ties between mother, father and child when sharing information together by reading the same book. In line with the Penang Public Library Corporation's motto to ‘Read Building the Civilization’, this innovation is to attract and create opportunities for the special needs (Category of Blind) to ensure they are not left behind in getting information in the stream Technology is growing rapidly.
