Library navigator

As stated in Wikipedia, navigation, in a broader sense, can refer to any skill or study that involves the determination of position and direction. A Library Navigator is a tool that responsible to guide users the location of books and the rooms that located in the library. This navigator will guide users start from the circulation counter until the destination requested either to the location of books or the rooms itself. To identify the location of the books, the users should find the book call number through Web OPAC then using the library navigator to find the location. For identifying the rooms, the users just have to click the room navigator menu in Library Navigator Application. It is easy to retrieve the application of Library Navigator because it is in eAplication menu of UTeM Library Portal. The application also can be access through any of smartphone or tablet which can help users directly to the destinations (shelf or rooms). All the guideline video in the Library Navigator completely designed with an audio and 3D image which can easily help users to arrive at their destination. The supported reason of this created application is to reduce the time and energy of the users to find which shelf that located the books. By using this application, the users also will know which floor the shelf is located. So, it is easy for them to straight forward to the shelf without wasting time to search from shelf to shelf to find the books although they already have the call number. Same goes to the users who wanted to find the rooms they’ve booked. The Library navigator will instruct them from the circulation counter until to the rooms. This Library Navigator designed by using freeware and modified to be access online for the users to get the benefits. It is compatible with all Windows, smartphones and tablets.
