Abstract
Surely everyone is familiar with Siti Khadijah's telekung (Muslim women’s prayer veil). Siti Khadijah (SK) is owned by Hajah Padzilah Enda Sulaiman. Born in a big family, Hajah Padzilah is the eldest of thirteen siblings. Her hometown is situated in Sungkai, an old town in the state of Perak. Her mother passed away shortly after she gave birth to Hajah Padzilah. Growing up in a village without any means of electricity or even running water, Hajah Padzilah was determined to escape the burden of poverty that had surrounded her since small. The place where she came from did not even have tar roads during her childhood days. Perhaps the difficulties shaped her to become who she is today, as she truly believes that nothing is impossible for someone who has the motivation and ambition to succeed. As she grew older, Hajah Padzilah has shown that her passion for research, development, and innovation has produced good outcomes for her product design. Her initial passion for sewing was developed when she was in middle school. During that time, she did not pass the exam in the science stream, but she showed a strong desire to sew and create something with her own hands and creativity. Her first masterpiece was a maxi skirt which she dedicatedly sewed without using a single help of a sewing machine as a present to her eight-yearold niece.
