Abstract
Kajian ini meninjau keberkesanan strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pelajar di sebuah sekolah menengah di daerah Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengukur tahap penguasaan kosa kata bahasa Arab dan strategi pembelajaran melalui soalan kajian yang diedarkan kepada 92 orang pelajar dari tingkatan 1 hingga 3. Peserta kajian dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik persampelan rawak mudah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif melalui perisian IBM SPSS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan variasi dalam pemilihan strategi pembelajaran yang berkesan melalui visual, auditori dan pembelajaran kinestetik. Dapatan ini menunjukkan bahawa pengajaran dan pembelajaran kosa kata bahasa Arab di sekolah adalah mencukupi dan diperkaya dengan akses kepada sumber pembelajaran yang mencukupi. Namun begitu, terdapat kecenderungan ke arah kurang minat menggunakan kamus atau aplikasi digital serta penggunaan kad imbasan dalam pembelajaran kosa kata. Interaksi dengan rakan sebaya yang mahir dalam bahasa Arab dan penggunaan multimedia dianggap membantu dalam penguasaan kosa kata bahasa Arab. Dapatan ini diharap dapat membantu warga pendidik dalam merangka dan melaksanakan strategi pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang lebih berkesan dan responsif kepada keperluan pelajar dalam era globalisasi. This study explores the effectiveness of learning strategies in enhancing Arabic vocabulary acquisition among students in a secondary school located in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, Malaysia. A quantitative research design was employed, involving the administration of a structured questionnaire to 92 students from Form 1 to Form 3. The participants were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The collected data were analysed using descriptive statistical analysis via IBM SPSS software. The findings indicate a variety of effective learning strategies adopted by the students, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methods. While vocabulary teaching and learning in school appears to be sufficient and supported by adequate learning resources, there is a noticeable lack of interest in using dictionaries or digital applications, as well as in employing flashcards. In contrast, peer interaction and the use of multimedia tools were found to significantly aid in vocabulary acquisition. The findings are expected to guide educators in designing and implementing more effective and responsive Arabic language learning strategies that meet the needs of students in the era of globalization.
