Abstract

Slide Presentation: “Truth and metaphor and their implications”

Definition of the Truth: It is the word used for that for which it was originally coined. Linguistic truth: attributed to the one who coined the language. Legal truth: attributed to the Lawgiver (Shari‘). Customary truth: attributed to the specific or general custom. (Abdul Karim Zaidan, 1969). "A noun intended for what it was designated for, in the form of: the truth of a thing, if it is proven, meaning active, i.e., 'truthful'. And the 'alif' and 'lam' entering into 'the truth' to transfer it from the adjectival meaning to the nominal one, as in 'the sign', not for definition. The truth: the constant that never changes." (Mutimay Rajab Iwhonumo, 2024)
