Abstract
The Sunnah of the Prophet is the second source of Islamic legislation after the Holy Qur'an. It clarifies and explains what is stated in the Book of God. It complements the provisions not already detailed. The Sunnah of the Prophet is also an independent source of legislation, as it contains provisions not mentioned in the Holy Quran. It outlines the rules and regulations for financial transactions, ensuring justice and balance in society. In the field of financial transactions, the importance of the Prophetic Sunnah is evident in regulating financial relations between individuals and groups, and setting standards that govern transactions in a way that preserves rights and prevents injustice and fraud. The Sunnah also outlines the types of permissible transactions. Such as buying and selling, and prohibited things such as usury and fraud, and established general principles such as mutual consent, transparency, and consideration for the interests of society. Through the Prophetic Sunnah, we find practical applications of the foundations of transactions that achieve a balance between individual and collective interests. Such as the Prophet's urging of fulfilling contracts, his prohibition of monopoly, and his warning against corrupt sales that lead to disputes and losses. This makes it clear that the Prophetic Sunnah is not only a source of religious rulings, but also plays a significant role in regulating financial transactions. It is based on fixed rules and flexible foundations that take into account the evolution of times and changing circumstances, making it a fundamental guide for jurisprudents in deriving Islamic rulings related to financial transactions.
