Abstract
Defect is generally defined as a building flaw or defect in the design, the workmanship or in the materials or systems used on a project that results in a failure of a component part of a building or structure and causes damage to person or property, usually resulting in financial harm to the owner. The component that need attention is the defects in the buildings. The objectives of this report are to determine the causes of the defects and to determine the techniques to overcome the defects. Data were collected through observation throughout practical training period, structured and unstructured interviews were held and also through some documents review.
