This study makes use of annual data as well as secondary data from online and historical sources by examining data from Statista, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) between 1989 to 2023. The data is assessed using EViews, a feature-rich statistical, forecasting, and econometrics application. According to the study, the findings of this study suggest that public spending (PS) and also interest rates (IR) negatively and significantly affect economic growth, and public debt (PD) positively and significantly influences economic growth in Malaysia. Meanwhile, inflation (INF) results in an insignificant relationship with economic growth. The end of the report offers recommendations on how to enhance future research in this area so that more conclusive findings can be made.
