The awareness of patriotism among UiTM Malacca City Campus student after 50 years of independent

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is Malaysia's premier institution of higher learning that has experienced a phenomenal growth since its inception in 1956. The university has expanded nationwide with 3 satellite campuses, 12 branch campuses, and 8 city campuses which one of it UiTM Malacaa City Campus. This research is conducted to study the awareness of patriotism among UiTM Malacca City Campus student after 50 years of independent. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed among the students of UiTM Malacca City Campus. The objective of this research is basically done to evaluate the awareness of patriotism among UiTM City Campus student, to determine whether student alert with history of Malaysia, to evaluate the student attitudes towards the patriotism as well as to determine whether UiTM organized any program those cans nurturing the patriotism. As we know that UiTM try to born our future leader in Malaysia, this study will help the student to improving their level of awareness towards patriotism as well as gain knowledge regarding history and the struggle of past citizens to get an independent. In this study, there are several sections in which the awareness of UiTM Malacca City Campus student is analyzes such as demographic, environment, activities and programs and the last one is attitudes. From all the sections, it shows that the students agree that environment, activities and programs and also attitudes influenced the awareness of students regarding on patriotism.
