Abstract
This course is designed to expose students to the automotive internal combustion (IC) engine theoretically and practically and emphasizes the use of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics in the automotive IC engine. This course also provides the explanation of the thermochemistry and fuel used by the automotive IC engine. In addition, this course includes the practical approach, giving deeper treatment of the automotive IC engine. Moreover, this course also gives an overview of the alternative fuel used in automotive IC engines. Finally, this course also discuss the future power plant for the automotive application.
