LAW567: Women and The Law / Faculty of Law

The course introduces the students to the various theories on feminist jurisprudence from the western philosophers and some insight from the Islamic theorists on feminism. It will also discuss the rights of women established both at the national as well as international level. The subject will also examine specific issues of women especially in the family, commercial and labour matters. This course also promotes the development for critical thinking and problem solving skills, team skills and ethics and moral professionalism in the area of law relating to women.
