Indoor air quality and prevalence of sick building syndrome among office workers at Padang Besar and Bukit Kayu Hitam

In drug development, drug discovery is the process by which drug is discovered or designed and involved several processes. The significance of this study is to design and synthesis muscimol and zinc (ii) cyclen complex. In this study, 1,4, 7, 10- tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) is protected with di-tert-butyl dicarbonate in a ratio of 1 :3 to produce tri-ter-butyl 1,4, 7, 10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4, 7, 10-tricarboxylate (3Boc cyclen). The synthesis is then purified by silica gel column chromatography technique and sent for 1H-NMR and FTIR characterization in order to confirm the product structure. Nevertheless the outcomes of this research study did not make the grade because no final product has been produced (muscimol appended Zn2+ -cyclen complex) and the research was postponed due to time constraint.
