LAS684: Architecture in Landscape / College of Built Environment

This course exposes the evolution of architectural design in the built environment. Broadly, it introduces the history of architecture through phases of technological developments and the impacts on built forms. Generally, the course covers the most important architectural styles – from ancient to modern – across the world. The contents of the course are divided into three main areas, viz. the development of structural technology, the development of forms and facades, and the inventions of materials.
