The travel agents deals with many airlines everyday and are quick to note which airline is the most helpful. The travel agents are people, so the airline that gives them the fullest cooperation will get their business. There are about 44 travel agencies outlets in Johore appointed by Malaysia Airlines. The travel agents live on their commission. They deal with the airline that makes it faster, cheaper and easier for them, to earn commission. The qualities the agents expect from the company are speed, courtesy and efficiency. Besides that, the appointed agents are also receiving other benefits like incentives such as cash reward, free airline tickets and others. At the same time, they are also dealing with other major airlines such as Singapore International Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Qantas Airways and others. Since Johore is nearby Singapore, the market is very competitive. Thus, the travel agents have to be ensured that they are loyal to the national carrier.
