DCP902 : Prosthodontics / Faculty of Dentistry

This is the enhancement of advanced knowledge for this programme where theoretical and application-based knowledge build a strong foundation for the candidates to apply in daily practice once graduated. All Prosthodontic advanced knowledge is introduced in this course throughout the programme while attending clinical sessions. Besides, this is the core of clinical training for graduates to be trained as clinical specialist in Prosthodontics. This course also concentrates on clinical works with certain requirement to ensure the graduates are capable of carrying out professional duties in the field of clinical and consultation in Prosthodontics. During Year 4, this course concentrates on clinical works in different environments, which is outside of the campus. It comes with certain requirements too to ensure the graduates are capable of carrying out professional duties in the field of Prosthodontics. If the candidates are only seeing patients in the campus area, there will be less variety of patient’s groups in terms of socioeconomic status, culture and other aspects. Thus, throughout this course, it will give more experience to the candidates in handling patients from different backgrounds.
