Abstract

The core medical and oral sciences course will give an understanding of the structure and function of the human body, from molecules to whole systems. The candidates will be provided with enhanced knowledge of basic medical and oral sciences and expected to develop an integrated knowledge that cuts across traditional disciplinary boundaries. The medical science course comprises of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, immunology, and pharmacology. The oral sciences include oral embryology, the biology of tooth movement, cranio-oro-facial bone growth and development, oral pathology, dentofacial anomalies, stem cells, and regenerative sciences.
