Abstract
The purpose of this work is to capture the heart sound signal that is the signal can be captured by using the important part of stethoscope itself, and then the signal is analyze by using MATLAB. The technique involve in this project is Instantaneous Energy (IE) and Instantaneous Frequency (IF) by using the Central Finite Difference Frequency Estimation (CFPFE). Instantaneous Energy and Frequency Estimate (IEFE) technique can be used to extract the parameter to characterize the heart sound. The parameter extracted can be the input to the classifier signal to classify different type of heart sound. This technique will analyze the results of heart sound signal to measure in term of it frequency and energy. The frequency and energy of first heart sound, SI and the second heart sound, S2 can measure easily by using IEFE technique through MATLAB simulated. In the future this technique must be further to improve which not only analyze the normal heart sound but also analyze the heart diseases and murmurs. The quality of heart sound signal can be improve by employ through MATLAB by using IIR Filter or to analyze the spectrum of heart sound signal. By using real time analysis, the signal will be recorded directly into the Personal Computer and easily analyze by using MATLAB for future improvement to make it user friendly. This project will benefit people by having their heart checked earlier stage and no need to go to see specialist. The application of this technique can be prove by doing this project.
