Abstract
Educational technology has transformed early childhood education, which uses interactive multimedia to engage pupils and promote language development. This project aims to solve issues with traditional teaching techniques, such as low interest, lack of interactivity, and restricted multimedia integration, by developing a web-based Malay vocabulary learning courseware tailored for Tabika Kemas preschoolers. The courseware incorporates interactive games, quizzes, and animations to improve vocabulary learning while utilizing Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction and the ADDIE paradigm (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). There were thirty (30) users, and three (3) experts who participated in the testing phase to evaluate the seven (7) constructs of e-learning need to assess which are: usability, engagement, content appropriateness, interactivity, multimedia element, theory, and satisfaction. The findings showed that interactivity had the highest mean score = 4.33 and SD = 0.72. This result shows that this elearning complies with the objective. Also indicating significant gains in user happiness, motivation, and vocabulary retention. With plans for future improvements to increase material and integrate adaptive learning technologies, this project shows how integrating multimedia and instructional design concepts may significantly improve early childhood education.
