Abstract

Aiyah! Your English no good ah?
Don’t worry, no pain, no gain…
Come, Aunty teach you…

People, places, and things have names
In English, we call them NOUNS
Like Ah Meng, Ahmad, and Rajen
Like Malacca, K.L., and Langkawi Island
And, like kettles, chopsticks, pots and pans
They are all everyday names
So that is what is called, NOUNS!

We like to short-cut our names sometimes
Especially when they are so long…
In English, doing this is called PRONOUNS
Like when I call myself, I use “I”
Coz’ so hard lah, want always to use my full name.
Like when I talk to you, I use “you” also can lah
And if we talk about others Of course, use “he” or “she” or “they…
Hehehe… short-cut so fun,
we are “PRO” bro…, when it comes to PRONOUNS
