Abstract
This report documents the industrial training experience undertaken at Perpustakaan Laman Hikmah, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). The training aimed to provide practical exposure to the various operations and services of an academic library, emphasizing the integration of information technology, user service management, and resource organization. Over the course of the training, key areas of focus included cataloging and classification, digital resource management, and user engagement strategies. The report highlights the processes and workflows involved in the day-to-day management of the library, as well as the challenges encountered in maintaining and enhancing the accessibility of academic resources. Additionally, the training provided insights into the importance of information literacy programs and their role in supporting the academic and research needs of the university community. The experience gained through this training has not only deepened my understanding of library management practices but has also equipped me with valuable skills relevant to the evolving landscape of academic libraries.
