Abstract
This report describes an eight-week industrial training program offered by JKR Sabak Bernam's Administration Department. The program offered practical exposure to key administrative functions, including record management, document disposal processes, and event coordination. Tasks such as producing organisational charts and assisting department operations demonstrated the application of academic knowledge to real-world circumstances while improving communication, time management, and software competency. One of the most noteworthy accomplishments was the effective use of advanced Microsoft Excel features, which increased data processing and organisation efficiency. The program also gave participants unique insights into government department operations, emphasising the need of cooperation, procedural compliance, and accuracy in ensuring service quality. Challenges such as outdated technology and staff training deficits showed areas for development, particularly in terms of using modern technology and upskilling programs. The overall experience contributed to a deeper understanding of public administration and its practical demands.
