Abstract
Embodies the "Harmonious Nesting Sanctuary" concept, which emphasizes the integration of natural elements and organic forms to create a peaceful, community-oriented space, this pavilion is carefully crafted to reflect the essence of a bird's nest, using interwoven, curved structures that mimic the intricate and protective nature of nests found in the wild. The design features a series of arching woods that provide both structural support and aesthetic continuity, evoking the protective curves of a nest. These arches are interconnected with tensile fabric canopies, offering shade and a sense of enclosure while maintaining an open, airy atmosphere. The fabric’s delicate, translucent quality allows sunlight to filter through, creating a dappled lighting effect reminiscent of sunlight through tree branches. The pavilion's base is a multi-level wooden deck, designed to encourage social interaction and communal gatherings. The circular seating arrangement in the centre enhances this communal spirit, providing a space for conversation, relaxation, and connection with nature. Surrounding the pavilion, lattice-like wooden walls add to the organic feel, their crisscross pattern reminiscent of woven twigs in a nest. This structure not only reinforces the theme but also allows for an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape, blending the boundaries between the built environment and nature.
