LAS615: Regional Landscape Planning / College of Built Environment

The thrust of the course is the study (through mapping and examining the landscape make up) of large-scale land areas with emphasis on critical analysis of development issues, concerns and potentials that leads to evolving solutions for integration of divergent land use patterns with existing natural and cultural resource of a region. Resource and land use investigation, planning processes and methodologies, and application of computerized planning tools are explored via case studies and actual site investigations, which take the form of studio projects.
