Abstract
In the hallowed halls of higher education, where intellect meets ambition and dreams are forged into reality, a silent but pervasive epidemic looms. This essay, titled “Beneath the Books: Unveiling the Hidden Struggles of College Students,” endeavors to delve into the deeply interwoven and consequential relationship between academic pressures and the mental well-being of university students. As the pursuit of knowledge continues to intensify in modern society, so does the psychological burden placed upon those who tread this scholarly path. The problem at hand is twofold: an increasing number of students are facing acute mental health challenges, and this issue is often exacerbated by the rigorous demands of academia. What are the implications of this growing crisis, and how can we address the resultant suffering and distress?
