Abstract
The establishment of the Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC) in 2011 signifies a concerted effort to institute a centralised entity dedicated to the aggregation, surveillance, coordination, and elevation of the standards governing scholarly journal publications within the academic realm of Malaysia. The primary purpose of the MCC is to support and facilitate the dissemination of academic research and scholarly works produced by Malaysian researchers, institutions, and journals. In order to assess the impact and significance of Malaysian research on a worldwide level, MCC produces citation indexes, maintains databases of scholarly publications, and offers services for citation and impact analysis.
